Dear Mr B,
Thank you for your e-mail. I have been asked to respond on
behalf of the Chief Rabbi. Whilst the Chief Rabbi takes the
opportunity to bring significant issues to public attention,
he does not directly promote campaigns of this type. You can
appreciate that he receives a huge volume of requests of this
nature, and were he to back every worthwhile cause, he would
not be able to do all the other community work that is so
vital to his role. I hope that you understand this, and thank
you for your interest in the Chief Rabbi.
